Today, I have been sentenced to a term of imprisonment for contempt of court in a matter brought against me by Barclays Bank. I respect the legal process, and although this outcome is deeply disappointing, I am fully committed to complying with the court’s decision. This situation has been immensely challenging, both personally and professionally, and I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this difficult time.

My actions were always motivated by a desire to protect jobs and support communities that rely on the businesses I have dedicated my life to turning around. My focus has always been to ensure these companies could continue operating, thereby safeguarding the livelihoods of employees and the services that customers depend on. I regret that my intent to support others has led to these proceedings, but I remain committed to my values and to helping businesses and individuals through challenging times.

To my family, friends, colleagues, and supporters: your belief in me and encouragement have provided incredible strength. Although I will face this next chapter away from my work, my commitment to positive change and ethical business practices remains unwavering. My legal team will continue to work on my behalf to ensure that the truth and integrity of my actions are represented fully.

I hope that, in the future, the justice system recognises the need for proportionality and the importance of fairness in cases involving corporate power and individual lives. This experience has only deepened my resolve to continue advocating for justice and transparency.

Thank you once again for your support.
